What are the odds of someone who has never won anything, suddenly wins a car worth 6 figures? That is essentially what happened to Scott Tougas after he listed an item on eBay during our Summer Sell-ebration Week (June 18 – 24, 2014). Now he has a 2011 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet parked in his driveway as proof that life is full of happy surprises.

Between his Jetta TDI daily driver, Miata project car, and now his newly acquired 997 911 Turbo, Scott has a multitude of choices as to which car to drive on any given day of the week. Rhode Island has some fantastic scenic roads that run along the coastline, along with some roads that carve into the hills with beautiful sweeping curves. When the weather is good, we can imagine Scott won’t have a difficult time choosing the right car.
As an eBay user on and off for fourteen years, Scott is familiar with using the eBay marketplace for both buying and selling. Many of the things that Scott buys are parts for his boat, items to remodel his house, and car parts. Time permitting, Scott sells something that has been lying around the house or items from his vintage outboard motor collection that he started with his father when he was a teenager.
Right now Scott and his girlfriend are browsing for Halloween costume ideas that would fit Sophie – his little 1-year old Rottiebear pup. We’d love to hear your ideas. Use the comment section below to post your suggestions.
